Hey Friends!
I’m linking up with BlogHoppin‘ to have a little Meet the Teacher Monday…but it’s Tuesday! Ooops! Better late than never?
I had a really hard time narrowing it down to 10, so you may see a few that are really 2-in-1’s.
Ok, here goes…
1. My family and I are full-time Airstream dwellers!! (I just thought I would go ahead and get the craziest one out of the way first)! My husband and I have remodeled a ’66 Airstream Land Yacht and are living in it with our two-year-old daughter. We blog about our adventures over at Livin’Lightly if you’d like to take a peek.
2. I used to be a gymnast in high school and college. My husband and I actually met on our college gym team. Truth be told, I’m not even sure if I could still do a cartwheel. Ahhhh…the good ole days eh?
3. My favorite sweet treat is Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups from Trader Joe’s (I think I’m starting to salivate right now). I also LOVE LOVE LOVE smoothies, especially green ones. They hit the spot when there’s not dark chocolate and peanut butter to be had.
4. I love to play the guitar and often sing for our praise team at church. I’m thinking about writing some children’s songs someday.
5. I taught first grade for almost a decade and now…I’m staying home with our little girl! My heart is still in the classroom as well, and I will continue to sub and create lessons on TpT, to encourage and inspire teachers and students (I will be a “nap-time lesson creator”).
6. We were on WIPEOUT!!!! Ok. We weren’t exactly on the T.V. show, but we dressed as wipeout characters with our friends for a scavenger hunt that our church was doing. We won! I think our helmets helped us feel invincible. Ha!
7. I have 4 brothers and I’m the only girl. I felt like God was preparing me for a family of my own with only boys when my first year teaching I had 15 boys and only 5 girls in my classroom! To my surprise we have a little girl…so I’m not sure what surrounding me with all of these boys was all about…but hey, I’m really good at throwing a football!
8. I absolutely love to sew, craft and create! I recently made a little bubble skirt for my daughter and am now inspired to create a whole little wardrobe for her. I love creating things that bring joy and happiness to others. I think that’s a main reason that I enjoy creating on TpT so much!
9. I get rejuvenated by spending quality time with others. I especially LOVE my girl-time! Here’s a picture of me and one of my BTF (Best Teacher Friends) Kandice. She has an AMAZING blog TimeTwoTeach. Head on over if you haven’t already!
My hubby and I also love to spend time in nature. We go backpacking every year to celebrate our anniversary. (This can just be a continuation of #9 right?)
10. God is my all-in-all! I want to reflect Him in everything that I do. He is why I create, play, dream, laugh, relate, celebrate, eat delicious peanut butter cups?, travel and LIVE.
I can’t wait to get to know all of you better! I invite you to follow along my blog this year as we encourage one another towards a love for education.
I love, love the idea that you live in an Airstream! You must be highly organized to make that work, but what a great and economical way to live! Enjoy these years at home. You are your child’s first and best teacher!

This post just makes me want to get to know you even more! 🙂 You are such a creative, optimistic and energetic person. Way to use it for God’s glory!
Thanks Trina! 🙂 I’m excited to see what else God has in store!
